Windows Movie Maker, per se, is no longer installed with Win7, I believe. I
think it has been replaced by a component of Windows Live Essentials 2011
which might be a separate download (still free) with its own Service
Agreement you have to Accept. I'm not sure on all of this but if you don't
see it on your machine, it is easy to find and still free.

I could have sworn that this camera was recommended by someone on this forum
a few months ago when we asked for suggestions.
I have not yet checked if we have the CS4 update- will do so
when i get home. does anyone know if i'll be able to d/l it from a different
pc- meaning not the editing box that has CS4 on it?

If we have Windows Movie Maker (I assume it comes w/ Win7? )I guess I could
capture via firewire thru WMM to an .avi file, and then import
into CS4? Sounds too easy, but hey...
Gregg- I'm going to investigate your links later this weekend (the HDV
thingie.
If there is a compatibility problem here- that means we'll not be able to
export to tape with this camera also, right?
why can't we just sit down & easily do this video-making stuff without
constant complications? it's getting old.
