Uwe, Thanks for your comments. We have been on bowhunting safaris to RSA, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe in the past so we are somewhat familiar with Southern Africa. This trip,we will be traveling in 4X4 vehicle so that we can follow the animals rather than setting in blinds as it the past.
We lived in Europe for many years and have traveled to 50+ counties, so I have all different kind of electrical connectors. I always have a small sand bag in the bottom of my DSLR camera case and will make an extra one for the video camera. We are tourists and the video is for my enjoyment when I am too old to travel (I will have my 77th birthday while there.) The 120 Gb hard drive should hold nearly 30 hours of video and I think that is enough for this trip. We have never taken that many hours in the past. We will have a laptop with us so I can copy the files to it for a back up. My main concern was getting the video from the camera to my PC and PPro CS5 for editing. Again, thanks for the input. -- Lee DSDP 4009 with Dodge 2500 4X4 and Can-Am 650 Click here to see where we are: <http://map.datastormusers.com/user2.cfm?user=2435> [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
