I'm not sure what you meant with a H.264 file - are you saying 264 is the
file extension, or are you merely being generic and saying it is in a H.264
format? Are you using a preset?
When I export I use one of Adobe's presets - in the Export Settings window,
in the Export Settings section, I choose Format: H.264, and under Preset: I
choose the one that matches the desired output media (in my case this is
HDTV 1080p 29.97 High Quality). This produces .mp4 files which have the
audio included. I don't know specifically what it is in the preset that
determines whether the mp4 files includes audio or whether two separate file
types are generated but it might have something to do with the desired
output media.
However, analogously, I notice that some MPEG2's I've generated appear as
mpg files with embedded audio and others as m2v/wav pairs, but both
situations work well inside of Encore - so I never had to prefer on over the
other.

Hello all,
I have PP Cs5 and I am having an issue with exporting a one hour video to
H.264
file.
It resulted with two separate files an audio ADTS file and an mpeg4 file.
I don't think I changed my settings, can anyone advise me on where in the
export
settings I should check.
My output summary shows:
NTSC, 720x470, 29.92 fps, Lower AAC, 192 kbps, 48 Khz, Stereo VBR, 1 Pass,
Target 3.00, Max 6.00 Mbps
Source shows:
Sequence, Food Crisis 720x480 (0.9091), 29.92 fps, Lower, 02;30;25;22 4800
Hz,
Stereo
I am exporting it again, but I'm afraid that it will do the same thing.
