Hi Doesn't that depend of the setting of "Mount limit" that you set on you shared FILE deviceclass?
There shouldn't be a problem having multiple clients mount multiple mount points, as long as you have the mount limit to a number higher than the number of clients. I am well aware of that in 3.7.X and 4.1.X, you needed SANergy to use a diskpool. But this should have been solved in 4.2, where Tivoli integrated parts of SANergy into TSM. This is how I have been explained to by Tivoli's support. So client 1 mounts the San-diskspace, makes it backup, unmounts Client 2 mounts the san-diskspace (fused), makes it backup, unmount and so on... Tell me if I'm wrong. All you have to do is to create a shared FILE-device, and then instead of backing up to tape, backup to the FILE device. According to Tivoli, this is a supported configuration, and the information can be found on the Tivoli website. Best Regards
