Default status on a checkin is "private" so that might be why it came in
that way.
If you do a "q vol <volser>" and nothing is listed, that would indicate it
is not part of a storage pool (but could still be a dbb or dbs or export,
etc...) but those would show in your volume history file...
A "query content <volser>" is an alternate way to see if it is used as
~storage~.
But if you just have a single tsm system using the atl (not shared) then if
you were to do an "update libvol <libr> <volser> status=scratch" it won't
let you set it to scratch if it has anything valid on it. (lol well,
shouldn't... if it knows about it anyway)

Subject: [ADSM-L] ALL Tapes known to TSM

This volume is not shown in Q VOL, but like u asked I did CHECKIN LIBVOL
SEARCH=YES

After that, missing tape appeared in Q LIBVOL, its private (used by tsm, but
last use is empty) weird ?

How can I check is it assigned to any pool?

Private means its being in use by tsm right?
