While I'm a very big advocate of open source and also working towards removing the closed binaries. I almost find it ironic to mandate the site be driven by an open source solution when opensolaris still ships with non-OSI approved parts. I know one of the sub/side projects for Wikipedia may have (had?) similar requirements a while ago. I can ping the developer and inquire what progress has been made. One of the first things that comes to mind is supporting openid for auth.opensolaris.org. (maybe I missed this?) I can make more detailed notes later if desired.
