But WTF, all tastes are individual, all are unique, and all are beyond
disputation. Burninglogic's taste for scorning Hale is very generous--
in fact, it's entirely sui generis.
For the record, curator and abstract expressionist [!] Hale studied at
Columbia, did post-grad work in architecture, studied at the Art
Students' League under Bridgman and at the Sorbonne under McNulty.
Then he taught anatomy at the ASL and drawing at Columbia. He has been
roundly upheld as the preeminent teacher of artistic anatomy in the
U.S. in the last half-century.
