Yes over complicated.  Old units, adding second data connection over fiber.  
Plan is to LAG Data 1 and 2 to increase throughput to over 1 Gig.

I always thought they were overly complicated.
If it's a new unit, tech support will help you set it up.  You'll probably 
never have to look at it again so IMO just let them take care of it.
