The community that already has IPv6 done and is preaching to it's own choir.

The consensus of the community is that the cost of trying to
reclaim and gather unused space is more than to stop fucking off
and get IPv6 done.

Ive moved from Wesleyan to Matts Tavern. A better class of student.
We have our /22 request in, I wish they would let us just take
those 4 idle /24. Im tempted to use them in the interim. Its about
20-22k to buy a /22, or 2k/year til the decade is up for IP6
mainstream adoption. That would buy alot of engineering time
That should become a pet project of WISPA, identifying idle nets
and presenting them to ARIN

We have our own /22 and requested another, we are purchasing
if the list doesnt move much in 6months. I just thought it was
odd theyre still there. Theyre just sitting there like an ugly
girl waiting to be used

I do want to note that if you're an ISP (chances are high
that you are if you're on this list). You do want your IP
space to be reallocated, not reassigned.
I meant "you" generically, not specific to Steve.
Technically, as long as the RIR thinks you're in charge of
the IP space, it's yours to do with as you please.
Legally, it would depend on whatever contract you have
with the provider that originally had those IPs.

we have 4 /24s a /27 and a /27 that have been reassigned
to us forever and are still listed with ARIN, lookups
still come back to us, one /24 was reassigned to us before
i started working here and we have left that provider.
Am I able to announce these prefixes? one of the /24 is
still a resource under our ASN
They dont belong to us, it was just prior upstream
reassignment. Its crazy with "depletion" that there is
over a thousand IPs just abandoned in our closet
