I think you're it. Are you for hire?

I wouldn't look forward to having to hook a towable lift each time I had
to go to a different pole either.

Keep in mind the majority of bucket trucks will not let you use the
bucket unless the truck is stopped with the outriggers extended. Using
this for stringing is painful - park, outriggers, in the bucket, do your
work, down, out, outriggers, move, and repeat. Efficiency is not good.
You are probably better with a manlift you can drive yourself if you don’t
have the correct bucket truck.

I'm framing from a ladder, and could use a ladder to string, but I'm
hanging adss and am not sure I'm going to be able to get the grip off of
the cable from a ladder. Plus the man lift just seems a lot more stable. A
bucket truck would be best, but I can't find those for rent.

I used to build aerial with hooks, brace and bit and wrenches.
Pulled the lasher by hand etc. Can be done.

The cable company has a mix of boom trucks and van mount booms. Id like
to try one of the van ones, but i think the base takes up the bulk of the
cargo area. I just like the idea of driving it right where you need it
instead of a trailer pull.
Id looked at doing an aerial fiber patch from a location to my house to
pick up anything i could along the way. I honestly planned on seeing if i
could pull it off from a pole ladder

I need a manlift for stringing some fiber. I'm going the maximum
height without being in the power zone (40" below neutral). Has anyone
used a standard articulating manlift for something like this? They aren't
insulated (other than the tires) which concerns me a bit, even though I'll
be well below the neutral.
