Ah. Got it. I kind of figured the hardware was somewhat generic since they
are running a Linux kernel underneath.

Thanks ๐Ÿ˜Š

Yes to all. Except hardware possibly depending on what you are using. A good
portion of there hardware is just a whitebox with their software. EX T-Metro
7224 is a generic broadcom switch that was also used by Alcatel.

Interesting. Appreciate the feedback. We havenโ€™t used any of their gear.
Most of our switching is various Juniper flavors backed by MX routers.

Anything in particular on the Telco Systems side that warrants the warning?
Bad support? Bad hardware? Bad software? Full of crap! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks

Been looking at these guys. Never used them but pricing seems competitive.

On the L3 side, they don't have DHCP relay or IPv6 features. They are "roadmap"
items they claim "should" be out by the end of the year. Those are a deal
breaker for us but YMMV. It's definitely a switch/edge device and not targeted
at core routing.

One thing I really like is the smaller form (<14" deep) and dual -48VDC input.
They have AC and 24VDC as well.

So who's your preferred vendor for carrier switches?

Suppose you want to break away from buggy Latvian switches, who would
you look at today?

Ciena? Adtran? Cisco? Juniper?
