Yeah.... just now firing this up. We have customers seeing our work crews and
accosting them for service. I could say it is a wonderful problem to have buy
my eye is truly on greenfield. We are serving some of them along the way.

Yeah, I wouldn't use it outdoors. Possibly straight out of the back of NID
on the outside wall into the unit. We just use it for the fiber wall plate to
the 844G. In MDUs we run 3MM RBR bend insensitive pre-terminated on one end
and splice it in the wall plate. You can also get it terminated on both ends
of course. It can be run pretty much like cat5. If part of the run is
outside, get the version with UV protection. Wall plates are cheap and
replacing a 1m patch cable is a whole lot easier then replacing a drop to a
unit if you go straight to the ONT. We have fibermint build out our wall
plates with a shutter adapter and a pigtail. Order ~1K at a time. Speaking of
which it is time to drop another order. Lead times are a PITA due to COVID19
and the constant changing of tariff rules.

FS armored patch is different then clearfield pushable. FS has a 900um
loose inside a metal spiral with a PVC jacket. CFD pushable has a 900um in gel
inside a thick plastic jacket. You can't really push the FS with connectors on
it, or at all really. The FS is much more flexible and doesn't kink like CFD
pushable but you can't push it. I don't like CFD pushable outside of
microduct. Too easy to mess up and there are better fibers for the
application.

And for what it’s worth the cable still worked. It’s at my house so I’m not

It’s relatively stiff but it’s not like the Clearfield or other brands of
pushable fiber that have a very minimal diameter protected stub at the end that
you then assemble the SC connector to after pushing it in. You can get the
movable part of the SC connector to pop off but you still have the full square
end of the SC to deal with - it won’t go through most microduct, but you can
get it through the normal drill size you shove CAT-5 cable though.

from the outdoor box to the wall plate or direct to CPE if you are not doing a
inside jack. They are not UV rated so you have to make sure you don’t leave
them exposed outdoor. You can pop the outer SC portion off the jumper if you
want to pass through a smaller hole.
