Oh, in that case, go for it.

And I did not mean to imply that Audacity did video. What I meant was that the
PowerDirector GUI was reminiscent of Audacity, which I use occasionally for
audio (things like MOH for VoIP PBX).

It is a local incorporation effort. I want to try to block it. Nothing says
country living like being forced to be in an HOA from hell, aka small town
“City”.

I did not know Audacity did video.

Sadly, I have too much testosterone to use a Mac.

You’re sure you want to do that? I mean the political youtube video, not the
video editing software. Unless you’re running for road commissioner or town
council or something, then go for it.

Regarding software, I tried Cyberlink PowerDirector to edit my dad’s 16mm home
movies that I had transferred to digital. Kind of like Audacity for video. I
didn’t find it very intuitive and I kind of stumbled around, but of course I
didn’t read the manual or watch any tutorials. I also have no experience with
video editing. So you might fare better.

Looks like I paid $80 for the Ultra version lifetime license, they also have
subscriptions. Also the website says something about a 25% promo discount on
the latest version 19 ending tomorrow.

I know there’s a whole religious argument out there about how dare you do video
editing on any platform other than a Mac.

I need to make a short political youtube video. I really like windows movie
maker but it is increasingly hard to find and load on a new machine. Any other
free or low cost platforms out there that are easy to use etc etc.
