These work great in this type of application if you can talk them into running 
fiber:

If  you have AC power at the remote site you can power your radio from the POE 
port.   If you have to run fiber + power there are a lot of inexpensive DC/DC 
converters like these that will let you stuff 48V down the wire and get clean 
24V at the far end:
