When you say boom you mean the card would appear damaged?  What if you put
the card in another situation and just do typical ethernet, would it work?

My problem is one AP doesn't turn on at all, two have ethernet problems
(link up/down), one reboots when I hit refresh (seriously)

I ordered 12 and from my pictures I can see the middle set says HV in black
ink.  Unfortunately that means I definitely can't see the ink on the outer
two cases so I'll have to climb to see if they're HV for sure.
