Fun fact from a TV show I saw the other day – Richard Pryor was born in Peoria. My sister went to Bradley University for a year. “Will it play in Peoria” means will it appeal to mainstream America. Actually, it’s just fun to say Peoria. Almost as much fun as pronouncing Cairo the local way. Another fun fact – southern Illinois is known as Little Egypt.
