I think there's pre-European settlers pyramids and stuff down there. Nothing as
grand, but still something.

Fun fact from a TV show I saw the other day – Richard Pryor was born in Peoria.
My sister went to Bradley University for a year.
“Will it play in Peoria” means will it appeal to mainstream America.
Actually, it’s just fun to say Peoria.
Almost as much fun as pronouncing Cairo the local way.
Another fun fact – southern Illinois is known as Little Egypt.

;-)...

East Peoria. East, east Peoria, just a couple of miles from Morton on route
150.

I grew up in central Illinois. Don't miss that place for a minute. Moved to
Minnesota in the middle of High School. I liked living there better than
Illinois, in spite of the brutal winters. Never knew how nice weather could be
until I moved to California; even when it's "bad", it is a cake walk compared
to most other places.

Come to Chicago, you can get all the cold you want. It's supposed to be in the

over.

They are forecasting upper 70s here for this weekend (Saturday and Sunday). No

We've had the warmest winter on record. Not gloating, just observing.
