An electrician would consider two GFCI’s in series unprofessional. It does not
provide any more protection, and in the even one of them trips, it is likely to
cause confusion.

That said, there are DIN rail mount GFCI modules with no outlet just the test
and reset buttons, you could wire one ahead of the terminal block in the L-Com
enclosure. Phoenix Contact makes them, I saw them at Allied for over $100. I
assume you don’t want to pay that.

Right the outlets. Not inside the enclosure (at least mine).

NEC says you need one GFI device on a circuit. So tell them two is not
code? :)

I'm using that enclosure now. Need to dremel room for a GFCI.

I hate them as well. They're doing a breaker, GFCI and that will go to
the GFCI in the box. That's what they want, so that's what I'm charging for.

Find one you can adapt, swap the outlet for a GFCI.

You could wire your box to the load side of a separate outdoor
GFCI. Then the GFCI can also act as a convenience outlet and disconnect
switch. Just a thought.

Does such a thing exist? My current plan is to take a small box
with a normal outlet and replace it, but that requires a bit of dremel work and
hence won't look at pretty.

I only need a small work space, looking at 14x12x7 right now.
