I keep thinking about trying odoo (previously openERP) for more of the backend ERP type processes. It's fully open source if you want to roll it yourself, but has a not that bad pricing structure if you want them to host it.
The problem for my current needs is that the help desk/ticketing/email management functions didn't seem like a good fit. All of this software seems to be all about compromises and choices between not-good-for most stuff solutions.
