I would agree that "bigger is better" if the energy transfer and temporal cavity were that much different between 9mm and 45ACP, but in reality, they are not.
Now if you step up to a hand cannon like a 44mag or .500SW, that's a bit different... but good luck concealed carrying those on a hot summer day.
