This is from Steve Coran on the WISPA FCC Committee list regarding FCC
proposals for high frequency spectrum.

Based on the very limited feedback we have had from members on this proposal
WISPA in NOT planning on making a filing in this proceeding. If there is WISP
interest in this spectrum and you think we should file there is still a (short)
amount of time to do so.

Let me know.

Mark (with the FCC Chair hat on).

I’ll be meeting with Google, Microsoft and public interest groups at 2 PM EST
on Friday to discuss positions on the Spectrum Frontiers NPRM. Michael
Calabrese will send around an invite so you can join if you would like.

Here is a link to the NPRM:
https://apps.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/FCC-15-138A1.pdf
<https://apps.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/FCC-15-138A1.pdf>. I’d
appreciate any insight you may have in advance of the meeting, especially as
relates to protection of incumbents (i.e., our members that have LMDS
licenses), “use it or share it,” future licensing (e.g., SAS-type approach,
service requirements, geographic areas), and unlicensed use 64-71 GHz as well
as “use it or share it” and/or SAS-type approach in licensed bands). If you
think it would be productive, the three of us can meet by phone before the
Friday meeting. We also should discuss at the FCC Committee next Tuesday.

Comments are due January 26. Thanks.
