FYI, I found out I was being fooled by the fact that if the SyncPipe dies, the
SiteMonitor reports the last satellite strings it saw when it was alive. I
think the 2D and 3D fix status might have been frozen as well.

1PPS active means the syncinjector has seen a pulse in recent history. I'd
have to look at the firmware to determine what 'recent history' means, but it's
somewhere between 1 and 10 or so seconds.

If you don't have 1PPS active as a 1, that means the syncinjector is not seeing
sync from the syncpipe.

The 'events' counter increments every time this value switches, so it can be
used as a 'sync lost or restored' counter.

Does this mean the SyncInjector isn't receiving the 1PPS pulse from the
SyncPipe? Of that the SyncInjector isn't putting it out to the radios?

If it reports 2D and 3D fix and lots of satellites, which is more likely, a
bad SyncPipe, or a bad SyncInjector? (a cable/connector issue is another
possibility)

When I go to the site (tomorrow), I will try the Pipe first, since that would
be the least disruptive.
