Rory, if you're talking about the 5GHz 450i with the integrated 90
degree sector.. Cambium, Matt specifically I believe, has said that you
do not want to use that version of the AP in a typical cluster config.
It does not have the F/B ratio that regular sector antennas have. That's
more for the one-off site here and there.
If you're asking about the other stuff, then Josh and Mat are correct.
The OEM Laird sectors come in 60 (-3dB 45) and 90 (-3dB 65). We have not
yet needed to do a 6x60 cluster, even on the regular 450. 4x90 works
fine for the most part. We have tested the pattern of the 90. They are
indeed about 5-7dB weaker at the edges compared to center. The published
Cambium antenna profiles are very accurate. Just gotta know what you're
working with.

If I remember correctly, it's 65 at -3dB, so it's basically what is
usually sold as a 90 degree these days (-6dB).

I looked at the 450i and noticed the sector antenna is 65
degrees. Does that mean a typical tower installation uses 6
antennas? In that scenario, I’m assuming 10MHz channels if
there is no interference. In that scenario, what is the
available bandwidth per AP assuming most users get pretty good
signal. Or is there a better way to deploy the product?
