In my experience, it depends on how captive the people are. If people are up, moving around, drinking, eating, etc. then you'll see some Facebook, Instagram, etc traffic. If they are sitting down but can still move around and grab food/drink, you'll see more connections. If people are sitting in the stands for a long period of time, you'll see a wider variety of traffic and a larger number of concurrent connections.
