I concur on the tires. Way, way better.However. In the other direction is the quality of land line phone service. I don't know about elsewhere, but in our rural setting, the landline phone service has completely fallen off the cliff. It's worse because whatever phone company does not want to spend a dime on repairing the old phone lines. Even worse than that, many of the places it's impossible to get any kind of internet service (including ours). People buried in acres of 200-300+ foot tall trees and it's nearly impossible to get POTS, or internet, or even satellite-type service.
