Basically, as far as I see Florence’s proposal, its about either the wikipedia work within Africa is not visible at all (because none of us are there), or that people can see that we exist and what we have achieved over the last year - even if it is in leaflets that are left on an unmanned table.
Essentially, we were just not invited. I didn’t get a scholarship either. The only ones I know who did are Douglas and Bobby, and Dumi as he is on the FDC committee - perhaps Habib did? Nobody else managed. 2 or 3 people from Africa doesn’t seem like even 5% of the scholarships to me, but I could be wrong. > On 16 Jun 2015, at 12:57 PM, Felix Nartey <[email protected]> wrote: > > Not like that but rather a unified or collective effort towards showcasing > what each country has got in representing Africa. > > Felix > > On Jun 16, 2015 10:32 AM, "Nkansah Rexford" <[email protected] > <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: > That will mean representatives from each country at the Africa space will > take turns in manning the space? > > On Tuesday, June 16, 2015, Felix Nartey <[email protected] > <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: > Hi All, > > I am in support of Florence's suggestion especially in this case where there > isn't enough representation from Africa. > > It won't make sense if only Bobby reserves a space for Wikimedia ZA or Habib > for Tunisia Use group at the community village.
