For the first 67 years of my life there was no AI. I suppose it is possible
that I'm an AI in a simulated universe and that all my memories up to this
instant are made up. But since that hypothesis is not testable, I don't
need to consider it.

As for how you would know, I suppose we could do a video chat, but AI video
is getting better fast. Visiting in person only works because robotics
technology isn't there yet. It would be really hard to fake a blood test. I
suppose if you replaced my brain with a computer, nobody would know it, not
even me, unless you did an MRI. But I think that technology is a long way
off.

The real reason this matters now is you can't trust anything on the
internet any more.
