Internet shminternet? I guess the point I was trying to make was re: HYPE. At least half of what drives technology is hype. If it was mainframe-with-graphics-and-sensors then how could you recruit hipsters in with gigantic beards to work? Then it's on to "cognitive computing" What the f is that? If you call it AI, that's not quite hip and cool enough, although it's better than it used to be. No, cognitive computing conjures up images of a computer understanding. But "cognitive computing in the cloud" is enough to draw in hipsters with beards. > > > > > > > ------------------------------------------- > AGI > Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/303/=now > RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/303/11943661-d9279dae > Modify Your Subscription: > https://www.listbox.com/member/?& > Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com > ------------------------------------------- AGI Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/303/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/303/21088071-f452e424 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=21088071&id_secret=21088071-58d57657 Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
