Yes, I'm reading through the book right now... I noted that you made the common mistake of thinking ISO = International Standards Organization.. This is wrong.
The organization is actually the IOS, or "International Organization for Standardization". They publish the ISO standards. ;) ISO is not an acronym but rather a latin word which means "equal". like an "isoscales triangle" in geometry, and many others.
