I don't know if someone can conditionally support/object to a tabled intent.
My quick read is probably not, but I'm also not entirely confident.
The bigger reason this doesn't work as stated is that I'm the sponsor and I
cannot be a supporter since I tabled it. While a supporter could in general
act on a tabled intent in place of the sponsor, in this case the relevant
CAN (R2630) would be for the Collar alone.

That was an unfortunate error on my part. I'd intended to write "its sponsor
tries" where I wrote "its supporter tries".
As to whether one can conditionally support: I'm a newbie here and don't
know the rules or mores yet. But I suspect that one *can* conditionally
support -- but that the condition I chose above is no good. Here's my
reasoning:
- Supporting is done by announcement. (R2124)
- Actions done by announcement are done by setting forth intent to do
them. (R478)
- Thus, supporting is done by setting forth intent to support.
- R2518 refers explicitly to conditional intent, so obviously conditional
intent is possible.
However, by R2518, the condition must be evualable at the time the
conditional intent is set forth. Which is not true in my case.
So I suppose my above attempt at conditional support fails, and I can
support now.

Any kind of conditional action is possible so long as it is evaluable at
send time. Rule 2127 outlines special provisions available for votes on
an Agoran decision that evaluate at the time of the decision's
resolution. Conditional support/objection evaluated at time of the
intent's resolution would require a similar framework, though whether or
not that's a *good* idea merits some discussion.
