No, unfortunately not... I'd love to learn of an accessible map
editor. As I've said, I've found several, but those that are supportive of
text, (I.E. a flavor of dos or some such) either won't run or won't read
with my screen reader, and those that are in windows, which I'd prefer,
such as Quark, have their map editor section represented graphically.
So there ya go. <smile> That's what I've found...
If you or anyone else knows of an editor which is accessible, or knows
how to work with one to BE such, please if you would, let me know?
Thanks so much and have a great weekend!...

Cara

Hey Ken et al'
I use Quark, or rather QuArK which stands for Quake Army Knife.
I've posted it up at:
http://tbrn.net/modgirl
So feel free to go ahead and get it. :)
I only have been able to access a map's entity list with it, and then
still need to be aware not to use the program's default way of adding
entities to a map, as the syntax seems to be wrong for this version of Quake.
What I do do though, is to take a map which has some of what I would
like, already on it, view it's code, copy what I'd like, and then either
paste it into another map or edit it with word pad or such and then
paste the new code into another map. In this way, I can add any of the
map entities to an existing map, or move or change existing ones.
This is how I added the health boxes in the four corners of the
4-level map which originally only had one health on a higher level.
Hope this helps!... -and if you have any questions or comments,
please, as always, feel free...
Have a great day!...

Cara

Subject: [AGRIP-discuss] map editing
Hey Matthew / Sebby, et al'
I have a quick question; I added five more spawn points to agdm01
and uploaded it to tbrn. When I try to access it though, the server
gives me a msg which says the following:
Info string length exceeded reconnecting...
-and then it reconnects to the same map and the map comes up just
fine. What's the deal? I also changed the little blurb that comes up
at the beginning of the map but I can't imagine that would have
anything to do with it?...
Anyway, I used QuArK and added the spawn points at the end of the
text file for the map entities.
Is there something I'm doing wrong?...
The map works just fine on my own system and comes up with no
strange msgs.
Any thoughts?...
As Always, hope all is well with you and yours, and have a wonderful
evening / day!...
Smiles,
Cara
