I know that it won't change stats or server locations, but it does change a
lot of things if your server can't accept incoming connections from other
non-local computers... If users can't be verified because they only wanted
to play localy without other people party crashing, they simply can't except
if they use no -nomauth option. That's why it should be easyer that the
program zqds can decide if it can use mauth or not. Just like the "active
servers and player" page "decides" that servers can be shown or not...
Hopefully this makes sense.

Cheers
Roland

Let me just chime in here quickly to say that I think there's some
confusion here.

Mauth simply verifies a user name, and doesn't change the stats
system that AQ has always used, or the site location. So in order to
change the stats site itself, you'd need to enter a different site
address in the server.cfg file and then have the appropriate code
running on that site to deal with the info that it is sent by the
particular session of AQ.

Mauth just makes sure that each player is a valid one and that they
are the only instance of that particular player on a server at any
given time.

Hopefully this clears this up, and if I, myself, am missing
something, then hopefully someone will chime in as well?…

Have an awesome day!…

Smiles,

Cara :)
