Joe - I agree with both John and you!
Your advice appears to be infallible (you just need to heed it yourself!) and I KNOW a guy whose second most practical car is a P*928 is pretty cool! (And the LEAST practical in the three-car fleet would be....??? ;^) Gordy Hyde (good luck on the repair - hope to see you soon, Joe!!) G > From: Joe Elliott [email protected] >...I'm using an OEM tensioner with the oil feed blocked off, which I've previously advocated as theoretically infallible. (Okay, I never actually said that, but I was pretty confident it was the best way to go.) I guess I should also mention that this belt was installed in 2004, and my recommendation to others has always been to replace the belt every 30k miles OR 5 years, so as far as I know the advice I've provided is, in fact, infallible. > - -Joe > From: "John Brase" [email protected] > If it makes you feel any better, I think a guy whose MOST practical car is a GTV6 is pretty cool. > John _________________________________________________________________ Your E-mail and More On-the-Go.
