Another thing you can try ... believe it or not, it's such a simple thing that you wouldn't think it would work, but there are some extensions winamp simply won't normally recognise. Try renaming the file, changing its extension to .mp4. Again, no guarantees, but if it works, it's by far the simplest solution to your problem.
