Yeah I get what you mean. I was just saying cause people at pro music stores maybe better able to help than at least I would. I get what you mean about sales people though. Sometimes they try to cell you stuff or trash the cheeper choice so you'll spend more. It's not always true though. you get your honest 1 here and there.

Hi Hamit, Brian and all,

Thanks very much for both your suggestions. I'm after a specific
product recommendation, not so much a store, I can, of course, contact any
number of stores, but what I want is someone who doesn't care if I buy
something or not. Sadly, sales people are in sales, which is why I ask here.
I'm also after something that doesn't require sight to use, specifically, no
inaccessible touch screen, pairing process, if necessary, to be accessible,
and so on.
As for Sennheiser, I've heard of the company but I am seeing allot of
headsets. Is there something which is not a headset and which will simply
transmit to a receiver from a microphone which is clipped on?
Thanks,
Aman

Where are you? If in the US though I'm not sure they'd have that kinda thing
I'd say call Sweet Water. Or American Musical Supply.

Hi all,

I realize we usually talk about audio output here, but there
are a good many people with expertise in audio more generally and I would be
most grateful for some help in at least narrowing options. I'm in search of
a long-range wireless microphone with a few odd specs. By long-range, I mean
at least 150 feet line-of-sight, obviously through walls will be less. I
need the device to be a microphone only, not a headset combination. I also
need the device to be powered by battery, certainly when using the
transmitter and preferably for the receiver as well. USB power is also good.
Finally, I would prefer the device not to use 2.4 gigahertz if at all
possible. 900 megahertz is fine, as is Dect and 5.8. This doesn't sound very
complicated, I know, but honestly it's difficult to find something that
meets all the specs above or, of course, the problem may be that I'm not
looking to the right people or places. Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Aman
