OOo can use the whole range of 16-bit Unicode, but you must have got a font,
which has a glyph for that codepoint. So you must choose a suitable font for
mathematical characters, if you will use them as text. You will find a lot of
that characters in the font "Open Symbol". If you want the characters at the
right unicode codepoint, have a look at "Lucida Sans" with comes with the JRE.
On the other hand you can write formulae with the "Formula Editor".
