User pfudd changed the following: What |Old value |New value ================================================================================ Status|RESOLVED |UNCONFIRMED -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|INVALID | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Apr 18 23:35:37 -0700 2006 ------- I'm sorry, I'm not explaining myself clearly. Please see the two screenshots I'm attaching below. In the first screenshot, I've changed the formula in B2 to just be '=HOUR(A2)'. As you can see, the contents of B2 are '12:00 AM'. The correct value is '10'. If you change the formula to be '=MINUTE(A2)', the correct value is '40', but the actual contents of B2 are '12:00 AM'. *This* is the bug. In the second screenshot, I've brought up the function wizard, and in the top right corner, 'Function result' shows '10', and in the bottom right, 'Result' shows '10'. Despite getting '10', the contents of B2 are still '12:00 AM' (not shown but same as above). This behaviour persists when I use a formula that uses hour() and minute(); the contents of B2 are still '12:00 AM'. The behaviour goes away when I copy and paste all of the data to a new empty spreadsheet. Because the starting file is an Excel spreadsheet, I initially assumed that the translation into Calc's internal format is triggering a problem in Calc. This would best be characterized as two bugs; importing should not create bad values, and Calc should not give wrong results from bad values. Note: I don't care about the formula. It turns out I could create a graph using the original time column and everything works perfectly; no formula was required. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
