------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jun 7 09:23:20 -0700 2006 ------- Wow, seems like I've hit something bigger than I expected... :-) Thank you for the explanation, now I understand. >From the possibilities you wrote, I like the 4th most - sounds cleanest, and easy to use & to extend when you create new services. Unfortunately I am unable to look too deep into this at the moment - and I guess you neither? ;-) Or could you have a look, please? Wrt. insterting the context in VCL; in principle, the knowledge in what desktop environment the application runs should be available as soon as possible - because the application really _runs_ in that environment. So I think it is OK to set it in VCL. VCL is also the place where the info about the actual desktop environment comes from. Application::GetDesktopEnvironment() is static, so it should be safe. No idea yet if I could avoid the move thanks to BackendRef::getBackend(). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
