Here's how I have customized Writer: I have added buttons for all "insertable" objects (image, footnote, symbol, field, etc) in the "standard" toolbar. I also have Navigator and Format windows open at all times (docked at left of the screen, one above the other). The drawing toolbar is always active at the bottom of the screen. I had installed some other macros for TOC and language tool, but I have lost track of those. They still appear in Macro lists. I still have- extendedPDF (removed only just now, as I don't need it any more), Aspel (dictionary that works with OOo, Gaim and FireFox.)
