Geez! What happened here? Ahh, "Internet Impatience". The dangerous disease
that hits good men when facing the empty inbox. I don't have Internet access
and have not been near the Internet for days -- you send me notices with 10
minutes intervals and expect me to react on that :-) I know the symptom from
myself, though, so no harsh words from me on that one. Just try to keep in
mind that not everybody has a permanent line to the Internet and that sometimes
people can be away on vacation or in the hospital and stuff like that.

I have now seen the problem with a new document with half a page of text. So
it doesn't have to be a big document.

I always disable "Collect Words" because I don't use that feature.

I'll try disabling auto-spelling and otherwise try to send you a document that
produces the error.

The problem may have something to do with hibernation. Just a loose theory. I
hibernate on and off all day long because all my programs remain open that
way. But there's several factors because OpenOffice.org doesn't seem to enter
into busy load mode immediately returning from hibernation (of what I have
noticed).

Sometimes OpenOffice.org also comes out and says "Cannot save document" when
saving to a file that is on a perfectly valid medium (and has saved fine all
week long). Then I have to copy, open a new document, paste, save to another
file, close the open windows, manually rename the other file to the first file,
and I'm back to working. Happens about once a week. Perhaps also related to
hibernation and removable devices?

I am so tired of this problem that I am very close to jumping back to Microsoft
Office! And I am an avid fan of OpenOffice.org and the "Export to PDF"
feature. But I cannot accept shelling out $2000 for a dual-core system and
then effectively being reduced to one core because OpenOffice.org eats one core
with its 100 percent load on it all the time.

P.S. Sorry about my lame enhancement request for multi-language support
(another issue, can't remember the number). I think somebody slipped my brain
out of my skull during the night and I then stumbled on to disturb you guys.
Sorry!
