Thank you regina, that is a very positive suggestion.

I looked at the macro, but don't understand it well enough to know whether it is
something I as a user could use to provide a workaround for obtaining higher
resolutions than 96 dpi on bitmap file exports. Or how to implement it if it is
useful.

I also looked at the specification requirements, and it seems to say that I
would need to have lined up a developer and QA person. Since I'm not a part of
the OO organization, I don't know how to do that, but am willing to do whatever
is needed.

You also mentioned a proposal -- is there a link to a similar form or a
description of what format that would take?

I have thought carefully about how to simplify implementing the minimum
necessary to increase resolution beyond the present 96 DPI.

At present, there is a user workaround in OODraw which involves specifying an
abnormally large page size, in order to increase the drawing resolution
artificially before saving it.

Since that method works the same in all filter types, its action is global.
A software solution which essentially does the same thing under cover, except
that the user interface now does the multiplication internally and correctly via
a "DPI" (or DPmm) input field would seem to work across all filter types as
well.

The place to input this "DPI/DPmm" field might well be in the Format toolbar
dropdown list, with an entry for "Export Resolution". It is a format variable,
after all, for the document, This would mean that the individual filter dialogs
would not have to be re-written. The user merely changes the resolution figure
as a document format.

I would be happy to write this up wherever appropriate -- I'm just not sure
where or how to do his.

Thank you for suggesting this way of dealing with this issue.
