As a developer I like to further emphasis e that any help from none developers
is welcome. You do not need to be a developer to do a specification. A formal
specification using the templates already mention would be best. But you could
also draw a dialog on a sheet of paper using a pencil, scan it and post it for
discussion.
Please do not respond by "but it is so clear what the requirements are, I do not
see why I have to write a specification". Reading the latest comments it looks
to me that there is still room for discussion what different people expect from
this feature.
For me as a developer, if I have a specification that clearly tells me what is
wanted where I do not need to spend additional time to gather the requirements
myself is something that is more likely to be implemented than an issue without
a specification. There is still time to do this for OOo 3.0 with an extension,
so any work from your side is welcome and may speed things up.
