I am not aware of any trial versions of ClearCase software. I had a look at the
rational web-site and found nothing for ClearCase. I've attached an strace log
when attempting to start open office in a clearcase view. At the end of the
file, it is just repeating the same thing multiple times (though this "same
thing" results in many lines of output to the strace log).
