------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Apr 4 02:45:21 -0700 2005 ------- I din't like the my two suggested fixes as well. I knew they were hacks. I agree that the check in the brp-symlink script is controversal and might be removed from the distributed rpm. (BTW: I didn't said that it solved all problems, I said that it helped to find typos. This is helful IMHO). OK, I'll discuss it with the author. But We need a hack for now because as you said: "people usually are not interested in fixing their build-system". Ah, I have overlooked the NO_BRP_STALE_LINK_ERROR variable. I like the solution, which sets this variable in the %install section. I have tested it on my SL 9.3 system and can confirm that it works. I think that it is the most suitable solution for now. Regarding the link in /etc. I undestand now why it is necessary. I am just not sure if the link should stay in /etc. It is a guestion if a symlink is a config file. I would create this compat symlink in the directory where OOo is primary installed (in /opt). Or I would create it in a subdirectory /etc/openoffice.org or something like that, so /etc is not bloat with strange named symlinks. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
