Copy the word fine to the clipboard (CTRL-C) 2. Highlight the words "good boy". 3. Paste the clipboard (CTRL-V) The operation takes place, but the end of the sentence is not invalidated so the area does not receive a repaint to clean it up. Result: Every fine does fine. fine. I am using Ubuntu 8.10 ... all up-to-date ... on an IBM R52 notebook. I will add a source test.odt file and a test_result.png file to this issue. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
