@Mechtilde: Thanx for checking this and pointing on the maybe specific 64bits
environment!

@0tim0:
I quote your comment: "One time, I somehow managed to get the
DisappearingImages.odt file opened by first pulling up writer and then opening
the file from the GUI. After doing this, *I did not notice a repeat of the
issue.*"

We are not tracking in this issue any crash or whatever but the fact a picture
disappears on Autosave. If you say using our vanilla version that you cannot
reproduce your issue there, I conclude it's a problem of the Debian version
where you can reproduce it.

Please understand: we expect reporters submitting issues *here* to have checked
their problems with our version and not only with the one of a Linux distro.

Also mentioning other problems (the crash) not related to the current issue
(disappearing picture) doesn't help surrounding the issue. Furthermore, if you
don't intend to give more infos on those other problems and file separated
issues, simply don't mention them: 1 problem = 1 issue.

Hoping Mechtilde will be able to tell us more about this issue on a 64bits
machine...
