the least you could have done is to pretend you wanted to understand rather than
closing the issue without any attempt at investigation
you said <it is not an OOo problem if a distribution does not include en-GB
specific spell checker and thesaurus in an English language pack> It did, it was
installed and that's not the issue
The problem is always the same - both versions of English are combined in the
dic/thes packs
Enough people have noted this, complained about it and in fact found solutions
for this DEFECT that it should have been fixed five years ago...
Providing a BE dictionary/thesaurus on its own, like many other languages would
fix the DEFECT easily.
Yes, I found a solution in an extension provided by weeklywhinge.com/?p=69
That site had the courtesy to post a fix for the DEFECT.
This DEFECT will remain until BE and USE are available separately or if the
thesaurus can cope with both
Sure, this might have been better posted as a dictionary or enhancement request
but I couldn't find that
It's been a DEFECT for years, it remains a DEFECT and with your kindest help
will always be a DEFECT
