I think we will never implement an (yet another) option: "Don't display tooltip
for Zotero fields". Too much effort for a very small segment.
Furthermore, I'd see it much easier for Zotereo's dev to correct their code than
for us to implement an extr "Zotero exception", see below.
OS: my understanding of those fields is that the tooltip triggered in XML by
"text:name=" of "text:reference-mark..." can be set freely by the code inserting
the reference.
In other words: it *would* be up to the Zotero developers to display some
meaningful tip content to their fields.
So that we don't have to adapt our tooltip handling because external application
place garbage in them but that those applications would place from the start
something helpful.
I will attach a sample document showing:
- A Zotero field has it shows now
- A Zotero field where I edited the tooltip in the content.xml
- A Writer reference field and its tooltip has it currently shows by default (no
useless code).
feel free to reassign to requirements if you agree with submitter or close as
WONTFIX.
