try both at once:
rpm -i libalsa2-0.9.0-0.8rc2mdk.i586.rpm libalsa-data-0.9.0-0.8rc2mdk.i586.rpm

Does Mandrake use apt? apt is designed to eliminate dependency headaches. Check
your distribution-specific documenatation.
