I'm still learning Linux, and I thought, installing RPMs is an important
skill to learn. I also like fluffy bunnies.

So I downloaded
jumpnbump-1.3-1.i386.rpm
rpm -i
failed dependency: libasound.so.2

I get
libalsa2-0.9.0-0.8rc2mdk.i586.rpm
rpm -i
failed dependency: libalsa-data

I D/L
libalsa-data-0.9.0-0.8rc2mdk.i586.rpm
rpm -i
failed dependency: libalsa2 = 0.9.0

WTF?? Is it telling me I need libalsa2 to install libalsa-data to install
libalsa2?

Why isn't ALSA distributed in just one package, instead of all these
bits and pieces pointing at each other like a moebius strip?

Please help me install ALSA so I can play some new games.

Thanks for reading this.

Marco
